Open Enrollment Opportunities

for the 2012-13 School Year

           If your family is looking for a well-ordered, safe, diverse, highly supportive, and academically challenging public school, please come and visit us.  We are a School for Advanced Studies (SAS) and our teachers use instructional techniques developed for maximizing the potential of gifted students.  However, we use those strategies in every classroom for every student because we believe all children have the ability to think globally and critically, to effectively communicate their ideas and to make remarkable contributions to the world around them. 

           We are looking for parents who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help us provide new programs, events and opportunities that will forever enrich our students’ lives.  We have an active parent group called POD (Partners of Dorris).  Learn all about them at:  www.podpartnersofdorris.org

This year the start date for Open Enrollment period will begin on Monday, May 7, 2012 and the final application date before a drawing will be on Friday, May 25, 2012.  Call us at (323) 222-9185 and our principal, Susan Schmidt will be very happy to give you a tour of our beautiful campus.
